Day 1

Kooyonga Golf Club
Designed by home-grown Adelaide golf course architect, H.L Rymill, and originally opened in 1923 the Kooyonga Golf Club is a wonderful example of a traditional style golf course laid out on a sandy, undulating parcel of land in the Adelaide sandbelt, located 15 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD. Kooyonga is a Par 72 championship layout that has hosted five Australian Opens, nine South Australian Opens, eight National Amateur Championships and in 2018 the Women's Australian Open (won by current world number 5 Jin Young Ko). There has been very few changes to Rymill’s routing since it opened but architects Neil Crafter and Paul Mogford have enhanced the beauty and playability of the course in recent years. Consistently rated amongst the best golf courses in Australia, the club has long been recognised for its superb conditioning and playability all year round. Kooyonga provides an outstanding golfing experience and is a ‘must play’ course.

The Grange Golf Club, West Course
The Grange Golf Club is one of Australia’s premier sporting venues with two internationally rated 18 hole championship golf courses and an award winning hospitality venue that is the Australian home of LIV golf. The West Course hosted the 2016 and 2019 Women’s Australian Open (won by current world number one Nelly Korda) and is a quintessential sand belt layout. Aesthetically pleasing, the Mike Clayton redesigned layout provides a challenge to players of all abilities with wide fairways and testing green complexes. The West Course is one of Australia’s premier golf courses consistently rated amongst the Top 100 in the country.

Mount Compass Golf Club
Located in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula, the Mount Compass golf course is only 50 minutes from the Adelaide CBD and only 20 minutes from Victor Harbour. Modelled on the Links style courses of Scotland and England, the international-standard Mount Compass Golf Course is comprised of many sand traps, several water hazards and thick rough throughout that will test your skill while still providing achievable shot making opportunities for the higher handicapper. The greens are first class and provide a stern examination of the players skills with the flat stick. The most improved course in the 2020 top 100, Mount Compass Golf Course is now ranked as the #71 golf course in the country.
